MFIT SUPPS has been taking the supplement industry by storm over the past year, and needless to say, their product line is impressive. Not only do they have an incredible manufacturing facility (cGMP/FDA Registered), they are able to make products that look great on paper.
MFIT SUPPS Stress-66 Today, we are looking at Stress-66, which is a straight-forward cortisol and anxiety reducing product. It only has three ingredients, but we have a lot to say about two of them. What’s awesome about this product, is that it includes CBD, which is a huge step for the CBD industry. When a brand with MFIT SUPPS’ standards decides to use an ingredient in its products, you know there is promise in it!
KSM-66 Ashwagandha – 600mg
The first ingredient that MFIT SUPPS uses to target stress is an industry favorite. This ingredient is of course KSM-66 Ashwagandha, which is a trademarked form of Ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is one of the most popular ingredients these days, and has been popping up in many supplements. Ashwagandha has a wealth of studies supporting it. So much so, that you will find it in everything from testosterone boosters, fat burners, and even pre-workouts. We won’t get too deep into the research behind that, however, let’s take a look and see why MFIT SUPPS would add it in Stress-66. According to a double-blind, placebo controlled study
done on 64 subjects, 600mg of Ashwagandha extract per day was shown to significantly reduce cortisol (stress hormone),thus improving resistance to stress. There is much more evidence showing the benefits of Ashwagandha. Another placebo-controlled, randomized study
, concluded with similar results to the previously mentioned study. In this study, 52 subjects under chronic stress were given either 600mg of Ashwagandha extract per day, or a placebo. At the end of 60 days, cortisol was significantly reduced, and the subjects experienced weight loss as well. While there are more studies on Ashwagandha, these are two that stand out for the purpose of stress reduction, which is the goal for this product. We should note, that there are more benefits to KSM-66 that we did not touch on, such as increased testosterone in infertile men, and an increase in endurance. Stress-66 provides 600mg of KSM-66® Ashwagandha Extract, which is a clinical dose. Great start here!
Verdant Oasis Hemp Oil™ (10% Phytocannabinoids) – 250mg
Next up we have an ingredient that has been taking the market by storm, and there is much confusion behind it. This of course, is CBD. Now there is much confusion behind CBD and the benefits, however we will try to simplify it here. Cannabis is a natural source of Phytocannabinoids, and Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of them. The other popular Phytocannabinoid, is called THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol. THC is the Cannabinoid that gets you high, as we’re sure many reading this know. What we want out of Stress-66 is CBD. MFIT SUPPS uses Hemp Oil, as Hemp contains little to no THC. Not only does MFIT SUPPS use Hemp Oil, they use Verdant Oasis Hemp Oil™, which is a full spectrum Hemp Oil from a company called Barrington Nutritionals. Verdant Oasis Hemp Oil is manufactured with some very high standards. One major aspect to this Hemp Oil is that there is NO CBD Isolate. CBD Isolate is actually considered a drug at this point in time, so you shouldn’t be seeing it in supplements. What may confuse some, is the use of the word Phytocannabinoids vs simply putting CBD on the label. Well there are a lot of legal issues currently going on regarding CBD, and as time goes on, the legal issues surrounding it will become clear. We’ve talked to Barrington Nutritionals regarding the actual CBD content of their Hemp Oil, and the 250mg of Hemp Oil at the 10% standardization for Phytocannabinoids is actually 10% of naturally occurring CBD. So, using the word Phytocannabinoids is currently a safe way to label products. We have to note, that there are many brands on the market whose products do not meet label claims
when it comes to CBD, however, due to MFI SUPPS’ really impressive manufacturing practices, it is certainly not a problem with this product. So, with that out of the way, is CBD actually beneficial for stress? Well, there is already some good research
on CBD, and anecdotally, we can attest to its effectiveness (at least with Stress-66). There are currently many human trials going on, to get rid of some of the smoke and mirrors and hopefully legitimize CBD once and for all. What we can say, specifically for this product, is that CBD is great to see here. What you’re going to see many companies market with CBD, are its benefits for anxiety. CBD has been shown in multiple studies
to be beneficial for reducing anxiety, which is a response to stress. Reducing anxiety is something the majority of us look to do. While a little anxiety and stress can actually be good for you, chronic stress and anxiety can be detrimental. With the promising research of CBD, it’s great to see here. While we could go on about the potential for other benefits associated with CBD, such as inflammation and pain, we’re going to focus on what Stress-66 is aiming at. You’re getting 25mg of CBD, coming from the 250mg of Hemp Oil in Stress-66.
BioPerine® – 10mg
BioPerine is Black Pepper Extract, which is a source of Piperine. This aids in absorption of certain ingredients. You get 10mg in Stress-66, which is a solid dose.
Overall, Stress-66 is probably one of the first products we’d recommend if you’re looking for something that may aid in reducing stress and anxiety. It may be one of the simplest ways to increase your overall well-being. The use of KSM-66, and CBD is probably something you’re going to see more of in the future, and it’s nice to see a brand like MFIT SUPPS jump into the CBD space, while bringing some of the best manufacturing standards along with them. If you’re going out and spending your money on sketchy CBD products in hopes to reduce anxiety, it’s probably in your best interest to try out a product that has a high-quality form of CBD along with a clinical dose of KSM-66, a proven form of Ashwagandha.
